WHO WE ARE
Five Corners Collective was founded by graduates of the University of Hartford’s MFA program in photography who wanted to share their creative passion and knowledge with others.

Amy Lowey
BOARD MEMBER & TEACHING ARTIST
Based in Connecticut, Amy has an extensive teaching background. She is a former New York City public school teacher and designed and taught art programs in the Monmouth County, New Jersey public schools. In her most recent photographic project, Archive of Longing, Amy documents the woods near her home, while exploring themes of loss, freedom, hope and intimacy. Amy has exhibited extensively throughout the United States.

Nicole Rosenthal
BOARD MEMBER & TEACHING ARTIST
Nicole is a photographer and teaching artist based in New York City. In the 1990s and early aughts, Nicole worked as an editorial photographer, regularly contributing portraits and photo illustrations to national print magazines. Since earning her MFA in 2016, Nicole’s focus is on teaching and long form photography projects that explore place, journey, and the encounter.

Robin Dahlberg
BOARD MEMBER & TEACHING ARTIST
Robin is an award-winning visual storyteller and arts educator based in New York City. She has taught photography at schools and community centers throughout the New York area. With a background in law and social justice, Robin uses her camera to explore issues of identity, place and resilience. She has published two photo books: Billable Hours in 6-minute increments, a humorous look at women in corporate office spaces, and Breaking Point, an examination of law enforcement overreach.

Sanne Vils Axelsen
BOARD MEMBER & TEACHING ARTIST
Sanne is a photographer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. She has worked as a freelance photographer since graduating from The Danish School of Media and Journalism in 2010. She teaches storytelling through photography to American college students at DIS Copenhagen during their study abroad semester.Description goes here

Beth Galton
TEACHING ARTIST
Beth Galton is a photographer and teaching artist with a background in the natural sciences and over 35 years of experience in the editorial and commercial photography world. Her commercial work includes assignments for major corporations, while her fine art practice has earned numerous accolades and been widely exhibited across the United States and Europe. She has recently published a book about her experience during the COVID lockdown, COVID DIARY, released by Fall Line Press.

Adegboyega "gBoyega" Adefope
TEACHING ARTIST
gBoyega is a Nigerian-born designer and educator with over twenty years of teaching experience at New York City art and design schools, including, most recently, the Parsons School of Design. His teaching explores design as a cultural language and tool for social change, inspiring students to develop their own voices while honoring underrepresented communities. Professionally, he has worked for the Studio Museum of Harlem, the New York Museum of Art and Design and Guggenheim.
